How It All Started
I’ve been cooking ever since I was in preschool! I was always a child that loved to eat and my mom and dad learned early on that if they didn’t want to get up early on a Saturday morning to a burning house from me putting a chair up to the stove and trying to make breakfast for me and the family it would be best for them to teach me how to safely do what was in my heart- cook! Luckily my dad was a southern cook and a restaurant owner, so this was not a hard task. So from easy bake ovens to a chair up to a stove that I was too little to reach, I present to you the chef’s daughter, Kia! Hi I’m Kia, one of my dad’s best recipes and the food I prepare for you are my daddy’s recipes with a vegan twist!
Inspiration For My Plant Based Journey
Cooking is my love language. I am a natural born foodie become darn good cook. I have been cooking ever since I could put a chair to a stove. My daddy was one of my first cooking teachers. Living my dad taught me everything I needed to put in my food to make it delicious and dying from diabetes he taught me everything I needed not put in my food to make it nutritious. Healing myself from endometriosis by adopting a plant-based diet, I taught myself that food can heal you. I never thought I would be Plantbased. I didn't think that you could love food and be plant-based. I love food, I love living, and I love my community. Becoming plant-based for me is a journey of self love. I have no desire to make the world vegan but I have some information that can save POC from things like diabetes, high blood pressure and other preventable diseases and help them live healthier happier lives.

Our goal is simple: make healthy taste amazing. Over 35% of our customers aren’t even vegan, and they’re often surprised when they say, "I can’t believe this is vegan!"
